Macey: Mommy, I just know how to get the poop out! I just push really, really hard!! That's my way, it's better than eating lots of vegetables (venj-tables).

Today, as we pulled up to a park:
Macey as she sees other kids: Ugh, nother kids.... (she likes having the park to herself)
Collin: Panties. Reewee panties.
Really Collin? Reewee? I didn't even know he knew what panties were! It's like he mentally catalogs a word he hears and then decides to say it at inappropriate times. Awesome.

Dear Wind...
I hate you.
Sincerely,
DaNae
In case you missed it, that tree that is diagonal.... shouldn't be. This is the 2nd tree that has died in our front yard due to the crazy wind that we can get coming off of those mountains you see in the distance. On the bright side, I love those mountains. I love being so close and surrounded by them (those are the furthest ones from us). And I love that we have fields around us and no big buildings to ruin the view. But man, I can sure hate that wind. Next tree it knocks over Imma give it the bird.
P.S. Look who couldn't handle Mommy going outside without him! Bobos!

Collin turns 2!
Today was The Bobo's birthday. I cried. Randy was pretty sentimental, too. And that ain't no small thing. Why are our babies growing up? Collin is at such a cute stage right now with his personality and talking... I just want to bottle it up and save it. Minus the tantrums and nap sabotaging.
One of Collin's favorite things in life, scratch that, the most favorite thing in Collin's life right now is Team Umizoomi. The tv show on Nick. We know exactly what time it comes on everyday and I look forward to it. I get a half hour of alone time, guaranteed. You can yell his name, bang pots, sing a song in front of him and he won't turn away from the tv screen. It's so funny. I can't figure out why that show. But, he loves it. Whaddya gonna do. So I found it fitting to throw him a little Team Umizoomi party! In the show they focus on colors, shapes, and numbers which coincidentally, Collin LOVES. I printed off some pictures, and cut out shapes and numbers and hung them from the ceiling and attempted to make a Bot cake. I didn't do very good, but he recognized that it was Bot and loved it so therein I succeeded!
All in all a great day. Happy Birthday Collin! We can't imagine what our lives would be like without you, buddy! Well, I can only imagine a lot more sleep is all.. and how boring is that! ;)

I couldn't get a good picture of him because this kid doesn't hold still, so I plopped him on the table and it freaked him out. As you can see, he's very uncomfortable in this picture.
"Decoraysh"
Bot. You can see in the picture above what he really looks like. :)
Typical Collin face.... when I pull out the camera.
The birthday wreath and party hats I made (that nobody wore but me)
His first time seeing the set up. He was very excited.
Collin hit the balloon and it nailed Macey in the face. Such a sweet loving tyke he is.
This was the day of Collin's "fay-vwet" things. Here he is eating pizza. He loves saying fayvwet. He'll say (yell) "pizza! fayvwet!" or "dooce! fayvwet!"
He kept saying BOT over and over. I was pleased.
It was so cute... right after he finished stuffing his face with cake and ice cream he exclaimed "happy". Haha. That's something else he says a lot when he's happy. I don't know why he feels like he needs to say he's happy, but I appreciated the feedback.
Present madness. I've been storing that chair in my craft room since January. He's seen it many times, sat in it, played on it..... but now it is officially his and can come out of the craft room.
Another fayvwet of Collin's is BOOKS. He loooves books. He opened this up first and didn't want to open anything else. He was satisfied.
Opening a book that Grandma and Grandpa Slade got for him. He opened it and sat right down on my lap and commanded me to "reee it".
You've got to be kidding me. SHRUCKS?! (Another fayvwet)
AWESOME road rug we picked up at IKEA for $10.
Collin telling Macey "cars. mine." and taking her car away. Haha.
All in all a great day. Happy Birthday Collin! We can't imagine what our lives would be like without you, buddy! Well, I can only imagine a lot more sleep is all.. and how boring is that! ;)
