Just hangin' out...

And by "hangin' out", I really mean hangin' out. I'm 37.5 weeks pregnant, and boy do I feel like it! I was trying to describe to Randy how I feel... he doesn't understand, but this little guy does. I can so commiserate.

Anyway, I have set up an induction date for April 10th, if this baby doesn't come before then. So I will have a newborn on Easter! Woohoo! I haven't posted much and quite frankly can't think of anything exciting to post because all of my thoughts and doings are revolving around baby and my monster to-do list. Well, let me clarify... I do think about my monster to-do list.. but that's pretty much it. :)

I have a gem from Macey that I wanted to share, though... so I guess this post isn't completely worthless! (Admit it though, all of you who have been pregnant totally know how that big bear feels... sitting around, feeling sorry about the... largeness.)

Tonight I wanted to treat myself to a nice relaxing bath. While I'm getting the water ready, of course Macey, my little shadow comes in and sets up camp next to the tub. I told her I really want to be alone, can she go and watch the Jazz game with Daddy? (hahaha). She looks at me with her big eyes and says "no, I want to be by you", when I asked her why she replied "cause you're my best friend". AWWWW. Tear. It would mean more to me though, if she hadn't just told her Spongebob figurine the same thing. But I'll take what I can get!

So cool.

Ever have one of those days where you just feel... so cool?

Yeah, her too.

The most wasted of all days is one without laughter...

We like to laugh in our house. A lot. We find many things funny, especially this video of Bizkit- the sleep walking dog. If you haven't seen it, you definitely need to gather your family around and watch it together. Over and over again. Enjoy!

Can you believe it?

I have a 3 year old. I HAVE A 3 YEAR OLD!!! I think I'm still in denial. Macey, is not. She kept telling me that it's her birthday today and she is "THREE YEARS OLD"!

I asked her what she wanted for her birthday dinner (secretly hoping the answer would either be pizza or a quesadilla {Cafe Rio})... she promptly told me she wanted to go to "McDonald's Happy Meal". Haha. Crazy girl. But what baby wants baby gets! So when Randy got home from work we took the birthday girl to McDonald's.

After she was done (on her own time, mind you...
it can't be OUR idea to leave) playing it up, we went and got her cake and ice cream (and my cadbury eggs, and root beer, and popsicles.. wait, what was I talking about again?) and came home for a nice little birthday party. Usually I am a party planner... I'm all about the full on birthday parties and making fun cakes... but pregnancy just does something to ya, besides make you fat. I had no motivation to do any of those things. Good thing Macey is an easy little girl to please. We had some friends over and ate cake and ice cream, let her open her presents, and called it a night.

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes and calls! We feel the love!

So long, farewell

I decided not to post anything until it was absolutely final. Scared of jinxing things, you know. I'm pretty good at that. But now I think it's safe to say... WE SOLD OUR HOUSE! Woot! We closed on it today, and I said my final goodbyes. It was bittersweet. I loved that house for so many reasons.

5) It was off the road. I didn't have to worry about Macey and roads... nor did I have second thoughts about running around in my nothings all day with open windows. :D
4) Big private backyard.
3) Vaulted ceilings made for lots of natural light. Love.
2) It took 10 minutes to get anywhere.
1) The neighbors. I get teary eyed thinking about how much I will miss the people (young and old) in that area. It never really hit me until now, because we still had the house and visited quite a bit and saw everyone. I couldn't have asked for a better mix of friends. Some of my best friends from that area are 50 year old women, and some 16 year old girls!

The buyers really lucked out. I hope they realize that. :) If not, they will shortly!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Saturday morning Randy ran to the store before Macey woke up to surprise her with some Valentine's Day goodies. He came home with a bouquet of balloons and a disney princess purse with a stuffed doggy inside it. She was thrilled!! It was so cute. She carried her balloons everywhere she went that day, we even had to take them in the car with us! We took her to lunch with her McDonald's bucks her Grandpa gave her for Valentine's Day. It was quite the day! And of course it wouldn't be a holiday without us decorating some sort of dessert for it! We made cupcakes, and I ate them all.

Amazed, yet again

by the wit of my almost 3 year old.

This morning I was greeted by a very sick lethargic husband. He puked a total of 8 times before I said this is enough. We're taking you to the doctor. He doesn't have the luxury of toughing it out, with school and work, you know. 2 bags of saline, 2 shots to the rear with anti-nausea medication, and 4 hours later... we were home with a much happier, albeit sleepier, Randy. Macey and I got him all carefully tucked away into bed, turned the lights off and were tip-toeing out so he could get some much needed rest when Macey turns around and whispers in the dark:

Daddy? You're a genius.

It's not near as fun when she says something and I can say "oh, she got that from so and so". My favorite is when I am completely baffled by her little mind. Just like in that instance. Awesome.
