Macey's 4th birthday!

Princess Macey celebrated her 4th birthday today! I decided to throw her a party with just 3 of her closest neighborhood friends so I could keep it under control.

Let me just preface this by saying I am fully aware that I probably took more pictures of the decorations than the actual party. That's how I do. You can see her castle cake that I made her on my island in the kitchen. That sucker took about 3 hours to make. Last time I make one of those. Every time I try a fancy cake I always screw it up somehow. This one was ok, but by the time we were ready to have cake and ice cream the poor thing was ready to topple over it was leaning back so much. Oh well. What do 4 year olds care? They just wanted to eat the darn thing anyway.

By the way, these decorations were SUPER cheap. The tissue pom poms are less than $1 to make and are very easy... the table covers $1 each (that is what's over the chairs) and I had the tulle on hand to do the bows with. The "wine glasses" were a HUGE hit with the girls and another score at the Dollar store. They actually all took them home. Haha. I figured the whole party didn't even cost $30 to throw. That's with party favors, the decorations, pinata, and cake and ice cream. Not bad, eh? I have however had that Happy Birthday banner and the table runner for a while, now. They did cost dollars.

Up close of the party favors I made and bought. I made the crowns out of felt I had on hand and jewels as well, and made the wands with supplies I had on hand. Love that it didn't cost me a thing! Then they each got those darling purses with pretty pink pearl necklaces and a pearl ring inside (SCORE from Target's $1 section!) They loved them!

When one of the girls came in she yelled out "Oh my Dosh! It's wike a weal Pwincess Pawty!" So so cute. That made my hard work all worth it. Besides Macey telling me that Mommy, that was the best birthday party EVER! :) I know Macey, I know.

Just waiting for her friends to show up!
She got this dress for her birthday and a matching one for her dolly!

How many girls does it take to open a present? Answer: ALL OF THEM.

A forced picture with their new crowns on!

I thought this was a darling picture.
Randy wasn't supposed to get the back view of the cake. That's the side I hardly worked on. Oh well. Macey's face is cute! She blew out the candles before we finished the Happy Birthday song! Then we told her to make a wish and she folded her arms and closed her eyes like she was saying a prayer! HAHA.

I didn't even know Randy took this picture and I still can't figure out what I was doing. He says I do it all the time when I'm trying to get kids excited. Whatevs. I'm a rad mom. Macey will never be embarrassed.

Mmmmm.... cake.

This was my favorite picture of the pinata! Look how nervous Randy's face is! AHAHAHA. Luckily he never got hit, but our broom is now bent in half. :)
Mmmm.... candy.

It was a great party! I'm sure Macey will remember it for a long time. I'm just glad I got the kids all hopped up on sugar and then got to drop them off back home. :)
