New Moon.

I have purposely never talked about the Twilight series on here because I am a closet fan. To be honest I find it a little embarrassing that moms my age and older go NUTS over the books/movies. I mean, doesn't having Team Jacob vinyl on the back of your minivan window scream 'desperate housewife' to anyone else? I love Edward just as much as the next woman, but that doesn't mean I want to be married to him and/or live in Forks. So, I keep my love of the books to myself... and my sisters. And Randy. And some of my friends. But that's it.

I actually loved the books so much and envisioned the characters so clearly that I really didn't care for the movie Twilight. The only person that looked like what was in my head was Alice. And maybe a little Bella. But Edward? C'mon. Sorry Robert Pattinson.

Anyway, so I did not like so much.... which explains why I was more than reluctant to watch New Moon. The reviews were so great by everyone around me that I caved and snatched it on Red Box as soon as I could. We watched it tonight and I have to say... I was impressed. I liked it and even Randy thought it was "ok". By the end, all of the actors/actresses had grown on me and molded into what I envisioned in my head. Except for Jasper... what the?! Why did they make him look like a clown? Seriously.

So, there you have it. If you're the one person on Earth that hasn't seen New Moon yet, do it. It's a keeper. It takes me back to the books and story and how AWESOME it is. You know you've seen a good movie or read a good book when it takes you a while to get back to reality.

Even though I didn't see it in a theater I still feel like I got the whole 'experience'. Randy screamed like a bunch of teenage girls when the title "New Moon" came on the screen, and would gasp like a girl whenever they showed Jacob's bare chest- until he realized that in almost every scene... Jacob isn't wearing a shirt. HAHA. Thanks Randy, for making it fun. Even at the end he yelled,

Goooooo EDWARD!!

Did I marry a keeper or what? ;)

I just rented the movie the other night too. My husband thought it was pretty good as well. I totally agree about the characters. I think Robert Pattison is ugh. Not a good choice for the most attractive man in the world. And Jasper totally had grandma hair. But overall they did a much better job than the first movie.

Yep, you married a good, good guy. I thought I did---until now. There is NO WAY Aaron would watch any movie that has the characters Edward and Bela in it. lol

It's awesome that Randy did the crowd noises for you!

Edward and I had a double feature, twilight and new moon, and it was totally his idea too! He kept asking questions and bugging me, maybe I can get him to read the books.

ditto...on pretty much everything. I was surprised how much I liked this movie, considering how much I didn't love the last one. One interesting thing...I'm a HUGE edward fan. However, after watching the movie, I could kind of grasp why someone would want Bella to end up with Jacob...he was like this ray of sunshine when she was sooo depressed. He was just so good for her, ya know. Anyway, I think it really comes down to how they just cast Jacob so well.
